Come join us for coffee and conversation every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month!\n\n\n\nOn Thursday, July 28, The IQ® Brew will feature Evan Batt, Co-Owner of Richardson-based Lockwood Distilling Company. Evan is an experienced entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of working in the beer and spirits industry. He is a strong entrepreneurship professional skilled in marketing management, spirits, market planning, consumer products, and beverage industry. Evan has been in the alcohol business since graduating from Texas A&M University in ’03. He’s worked on the distribution side, supplier side, and manufacturing side of both global and local brands. After trying his hand in most sides of the industry, his favorite is growing brands and finding a connection between brands and consumers. While Evan loves to work, he enjoys playing guitar and goofing off with his two red-headed kids even more.\n\n\n\nCome hear from Evan about his successes and challenges growing a business and plans for an even bigger Lockwood presence in Texas.\n\n\n\nAbout Lockwood Distilling CompanyLockwood Distilling Company opened in 2019 and was built upon Evan and his wife Sally’s love for the Richardson community. Inspired by family, friends, and neighbors, the Batts wanted to create a place where guests gather to enjoy crafted food and beverages with local flare. Since opening its Richardson location, Lockwood has found success (even during the pandemic) and opened a second location in Fort Worth’s Near Southside neighborhood.
