NEW LOCATION AT IQHQ (1302 E. COLLINS BLVD)
This IQ Brew will not have a virtual option.

The IQ Brew is a networking and educational series featuring short presentations from entrepreneurs, small businesses and subject-matter experts. The goal of The IQ® Brew is to share lessons learned and to have the Richardson business community hear about the successes and challenges faced while starting and growing a business. Come join us for coffee and conversation every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month!

On Thursday, December 8, The IQ® Brew will feature Essama Omgba, with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Essama Omgba is a Supervisory Patent Examiner (SPE) at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) at the Texas Regional Office in Dallas. He served on a career development detail as a Trainer at the Patent Training Academy and became an SPE in January 2017. For over 200 years, the basic role of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has remained the same: to promote the progress of science and the useful arts by securing for limited times to inventors the exclusive right to their respective discoveries (Article 1, Section 8 of the United States Constitution). Under this system of protection, American industry has flourished. New products have been invented, new uses for old ones discovered, and employment opportunities created for millions of Americans. The strength and vitality of the U.S. economy depends directly on effective mechanisms that protect new ideas and investments in innovation and creativity. The continued demand for patents and trademarks underscores the ingenuity of American inventors and entrepreneurs. The USPTO is at the cutting edge of the Nation’s technological progress and achievement.

Come hear from this industry expert about their company, and learn how they can benefit your business!
