Merrick Porchéddu is the founder and CEO of Artist Uprising™, a company that bridges the gap between creatives and commerce. An experienced entrepreneur and graduate of Belmont University’s College of Music Business, Porchéddu and her company connect artists to businesses and vice versa.
Before founding her own business, Porchéddu honed her vast array of skills through work in radio and television programming; A&R and artist management; and marketing and public relations. She also served as the general manager of Common Desk — the fastest growing Dallas coworking space — where she oversaw activities for over 300 startups IN 2012.
Porchéddu launched Artist Uprising™ in 2016, and the company has been growing ever since. Alongside a talented cohort of creatives, Porchéddu has worked with Nike, MTV, Virgin America, Lush Cosmetics, Cypress Equities, Sony Entertainment, ESPN, ABC’s The Bachelor, 7 Eleven, the NCAA and many more. In 2019, Porcheddu teamed up with internationally acclaimed digital designer and branding expert Magdiel Lopez to launch Belmont Creative, Artist Uprising™’s in-house creative agency. Belmont serves the marketing & branding needs of corporations, brands and city redevelopment programs. Artist Uprising™ opened its first rentable studio space in 2020, and won the Richardson Revitalization Award that same year.
Porchéddu lives in Richardson, Texas with her husband and their two sons, Oliver and Silas.
